“The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little while.” 1 Peter 5.10 CSB
Do you know what God is doing in your life right now? Well, be encouraged because Peter tells us a bit of what God Himself is doing for you right now.
- God is restoring you. This is the same word that was used for the disciples when it says they were “mending” their nets. Their nets were torn and in need of repair. God knows that your life has certain areas that are in need of repair as well. These are repairs that only He can do and He wants you to be healed. So, He is restoring the areas that the enemy has damaged.
- He is establishing you. This word means ‘resolute’ as in unwavering and steadfast on a determined path. As Jesus was unwavering in His purpose, so God is placing you on the “path of righteousness for His namesake.” God wants you to be unwavering as you head down the path He has placed you on.
- God is strengthening you. God is making you strong where you are weak. He is granting you access to His power via the indwelling Holy Spirit, which also makes you ‘more capable’ of doing the work of the kingdom. Remember always, that it is God that makes this possible and not you yourself.
- God is supporting you. God is making you firm and immovable in your faith and settled in your relationship with Him.
LET US PRAY
“LORD God, I thank You that right now You are healing me, giving my life direction and purpose, I thank You almighty Father for making me a stronger person and for making me immovable in my faith. In Jesus name and by the power of Your indwelling Spirit do I pray. Amen.”
