Did you know that God will give us the grace we need every day for whatever situation we are in? This is our means of strength to handle any situation we face. The Apostle Paul told his disciple Timothy:

“Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 2:1 NLT

This is first a command to be strong; it is not an option for us to be weak! There is nothing in our lives that is to be stronger than us except our Master. This is a command to be strong in the grace of Jesus Christ not in ourselves. It is also a promise that His grace will be our strength. It is not about what we can do for ourselves but what He is able to do for us. God never wants us to rely on ourselves, He wants us to always rely on Him! This way He receives the credit and the glory.

This verse also tells us that His grace is available to us every day for every situation; so whatever you need today, He will give you the grace to make it through! God doesn’t give us the grace to be strong that we need for tomorrow today. However, God will give us the grace we need for tomorrow when tomorrow comes. Our relationship with God is on a daily basis only!

Do you need an extra dose of Jesus Christ’s forgiveness today? Do you need Jesus Christ’s strength to face a particular situation? Are there circumstances in your life that you want God to handle? Are you having problems getting out of the way and letting God take over?

Well, let’s stop and thank God right now that He provides the grace we all need today to handle whatever we’re facing. And let’s ask Him for the strength we need and the grace (His unmerited favor) to be applied to our particular situation. Trust me; God loves to answer this prayer!
